Quick update

I have tons to blog about and don't feel at all like doing it. So sorry! But I do want everyone to know I'm off bedrest (yea!) and the meds. Everything went well, and I am still pregnant. I'm now 37 weeks and just waiting and waiting for this little one's arrival. My family came into town for a week and we had a blast. I think the girls will need at least one more week to get back to normal! They LOVED all the attention and having stuff to do and places to go. It was so much fun. Hopefully my next post will be all about baby Logan and his arrival- so ready for him to be here.

Blessings

So first off, good news: The at home medicine doesn't give me many side effects. Bad news, it's really hard to stay in bed when you feel fine! The meds are definately working though. My contractions haven't come back. I can feel when it's worn off and my body is trying to start again. I think Logan is going to be like me. He's decided he wants to come now and he'll do anything to get his way. (I think I'm in big trouble if that's true!)
Blessings. God works in mysterious ways. I never thought that being stuck in bed would make me feel so blessed. I can't count the number of people that have offered help and prayers. Those that live here in Wisconsin and those of you throughout the country. I can definatly feel the power of your prayers and I thank you. I didn't realise how many true friends I had here in Wisconsin. I am very amazed at the number of friends who have steped up and helped out. I tend to think I'm alone here, but I'm not. This has been a good oportunity to humble myself and let others serve me. That's not always easy for me, I love to serve, but I'm not the greatest at accepting service.
The girls have done very well. Much better than I thought. I know it's because the spirit is with them helping them out, so once again thankyou for your prayers. Today they are at the daycare where I work. It was hard to drop them off when I'm not there, but I know it will be better for them. They are with people that love them and with their friends. Tomorrow I go to the doctor again, so we'll see what she has to say. I've been very good and taken the meds so I hope that counts. My family is coming up here late Saturday night (YAAAAYYY! So excited!) And then I should only have until Tuesday on bed rest. The only day (by myself) left is Friday and I have a bunch of offers, so I can call someone if the girls get too restless. Thanks again for all your concerns.

An...intersting day

Ah, so each child had to have a different yet exciting story about how they came into the world. Mine seem to think that means hospital stays. Lol, apparently Logan is no different. On Sunday I had false labor all day and couldn't decide weather to go in or not. Am I in labor or not? Yes, no, yes, no back and forth all day. I ended up just going and having a tour of the labor and delivery unit, that way if in the middle of the night I decided to go in, I would know where to go and what to expect. Sunday came and went and then Monday came and went. Still doing ok, still wondering. On Tuesday I was supposed to work all day. I went and I was having contractions all day. I just tried to ignore them, I had a very busy day. Around 2 I finally decided to call my doctor and see what she said. She said come in and let me check you. So I left work early and ran the girls to a friends and went to the doctor. So I got my strep b test (just in case) and she checked me. My water hadn't broken and I was only dilated to a one. She sent me to the hospital for IV therapy (I needed more fluids) and to monitor my contractions. Long story short, I was in labor, they stopped the labor, and sent me home on bed rest. The meds they gave me at the hospital were HORRIBLE my whole body felt wrong and I couldn't think clearly, were just a few of the side effects. Last night was no fun. The meds finally wore off at 3 this morning. I just took the at home meds that are a little different, we'll see how they affect me, but so far so good. I have one week of bed rest and then she'll put me on regular activities and no meds (yay!) I will then be 36 weeks and if the baby comes fine if not even better (doctors words not mine). So one weeks penance then I'm free, yay. The countdown begins today. Hopefully my babies don't go crazy, they like staying at home almost as much as me. I asked Ryan this morning if taking the girls to reading time at the library would count as bed rest, he didn't think so. This may be harder than I thought. Lol, good times. The girls are being great today and haven't been to upset that we haven't left yet. Course it's only 8:15, but usually we've all gone insane by now and I've found some excuse to leave early. Wish us luck (mostly my girls) for this week, and keep baby Logan in your prayers. Pray that when he comes he'll be healthy.

My Birthday

My Birthday is July 3rd. This year I was working so I invited friends to come over on the 2nd. Coreina and her family came over and we set up the chocolate fountain and lots of yummy food. Somehow the Dalton’s ended up WAY messier than anyone else!

I wanted to get pictures of everyone, but the camera wasn’t working well. It was a great evening and I’m glad we were able to have friends over. On Thursday the girls and Ryan got up and brought in wrapped presents, birthday cards, and sang Happy Birthday. It was really cute and I couldn’t have asked for more. Kaitlyn even sang by herself to me later in the morning while we were getting ready for work, so cute. Ryan and the girls got me a new electric skillet and strainer. I am so impressed. Ryan picked them out by himself, and he couldn’t have done better if I was there. They are perfect. After work that night we had ribs (yum!) and then this cake that Ryan made me. He is so wonderful!

I got birthday money, cards and phone calls through out the day. I defiantly feel loved and am happy to have turned 24. Thanks everyone for a great day!

The 4th

Happy 4th! I love this time of year. Summer is my favorite season. I especially love the beginning of July. I have my birthday and independence day. I have to say that I am very grateful for this beautiful country that I live in! Not only is the land beautiful (come visit us and see how BEAUTIFUL it is here) but I am thankful for my liberties. This truly is a blessed land. On the Sunday before the 4th sacrament meeting was about our country. I really felt the spirit and know that God has a plan and America and it’s constitution was no accident. I was also touched when we sang the national anthem and some other patriotic songs. They ALL mention our father in heaven. Our country was founded upon that belief. I’m glad that we don’t force anyone to believe in God, but I wish more of the politicians would remember that we were founded one nation under God. I feel blessed to know how much Heavenly Father loves me and this land. I am so grateful for those that have, do now, and will in the future protect this sacred right to believe in God. I love this land!
For Independence Day I got to sleep in while Ryan watched the girls! When I did get up I made pancakes for everyone and we just hung around the house and enjoyed the morning. After naps we went up to Platteville to get some lunch and go shopping. We went to Culver’s which is one of Kaitlyn’s favorite places to go. I love it because the kids meal comes with a ticket for ice cream! (Probably why Kaitlyn loves it too) You get a bowl of the flavor of the day or vanilla or chocolate. We usually get the girls a meal to share and then all share the ice cream cause it’s quite a lot. They had a holiday one with strawberries and blueberries, yumm! Afterwards we went to our friends house for some celebrations. Well, Emily and I did. Kaitlyn had to go home with Dad and take a nap! She was WAY too tired! They both fell asleep and Ryan’s phone was on vibrate so a few hours later I went to get them. They were both conked out! So cute. Then we went back to our friends had lots of fun. Coreina just got a trampoline and Kaitlyn and Emily LOVE it. I however have a heat attack every time Em is up there. I made Ryan watch them. I just couldn’t handle the stress. Well Jaden (he’s 5, and I think Kaitlyn’s little boyfriend) and Kaitlyn spent almost the whole time on the tramp. They were having a ball! We had to pull them off when they decided to roll around with each other! I didn’t think I’d have to worry about boys so soon. Lol, I know they didn’t mean anything by it. It was cute, funny, and a little worrisome all at once. We also had hot dogs and somores cooked over the fire. Yummy! I ate WAY to many of both. We got to sit and talk and watch the kids run around and play. We had come over a few days prior to watch the fireworks and play with sparklers, so there weren’t any fireworks that night. The girls didn’t end up seeing any though. We thought they had been canceled because of the rain, but they just did it afterwards when the girls were already in bed asleep. Lol, there’s always next year. We did sparklers both nights, but these pictures aren’t from the 4th. I didn’t get any that day. This was the last weekend in June when we were waiting for the fireworks.
