TOFW

So we drove down to Missouri this weekend.  We were visiting our good friends the Bowers!!  Last time I went to Time Out For Women, Allison and I went together.  Since then she had moved, and they aren't doing it there so often, so we made the trek down to see them.  It was such a wonderful excuse to see good friends, and we had such a nice time!!

So we stopped for lunch while driving today, I was so hoping for another visit from Juju the monkey (true story), but no such luck. 
Instead we got the sweetest couple complementing us on our well behaved children, seriously how do you do it? To which Kaitlyn responses, you should see us at home! Hahaha! Out of the mouth of babes...



I didn't get any pictures taken, but it was so fun to see everyone again!  TOFW was wonderful as usual, and on Friday night I bumped into Katie!  She was one of my neighbors when Ryan was in law school.  Such a small world!  It was so fun to see her!

And I got to meet Mercy River!!!  I LOVE these girls, they're music is so beautiful!  Thanks Allison for taking a picture for me!

Allison and I had an adventure on the way there.  We got a flat tire and were trying to fix it, when some one stopped to help us.  It was so nice, except he was swearing the whole time!  And then at the end when we were thanking him again, he was like well it was worth the money.  Apparently a nice lady had seen us struggling and paid him to come help us.  Well I'm thankful to her, and thankful he didn't just pocket the money!  And we were able to get the rest of the way there safe and sound!  We always have a blast together!  Haha!

Happy 5 years to my handsome LAWYER hubby! 5 yrs ago he was sworn in! Can't believe it's been that long! Love ya babe, keep up the good work!

Helping Daddy

So Ryan left early this morning to help a friend in Prarie, and I expected him to be gone for a while, but be home around 1.  Well when I called at about 2 and he wasn't even almost on his way home, we decided to crash the party :)

I drove the kids up and we meet Dad for a late lunch around 3.  While we were at Hardy's Emmy lost her tooth!  She was very excited and tried to show everyone in the restaurant!

Then we headed over to our friends house.  Ryan kept helping out and Alicia and the kids and I hung out.  It was so nice!  Since we live far apart we rarely just hang out with each other.  Here's some cute pictures she took:

Sick

Here are some FB updates from today

There is a NASTY stomach bug at my house. Stay away, far far away! Also for kicks and giggles Brayden had decided to experiment with his new teeth while nursing. Awesome.

Logan gets up walk to the clock on the wall and says "4 minutes k, in 4 minutes its nap time. I very sick mom, my tummy is very sick" I asked if he was tired and wanted a nap, "no mom, 4 minutes! k!" "ok, baby 4 minutes" :)

This is what we had for dinner tonight:

Macaroni and Cheese pizza.  Emmy often says "Mom, can we have macaroni pizza?"  What she means is pepperoni, but for some reason she always says macaroni, so it's our family joke.  Well when I saw this at the store I couldn't help but get it.  

It tastes alright, but I won't be buying it again.  I got it mostly just to tease Ems.  :)

Last night we had a GREAT surprise!!!  The Bowers were in town and stopped by!  The summer of Christi continues!  Can't wait to get to spend more time with them in a couple of weeks!

Eventful day

• So it's the 2nd day of school and Kaitlyn got sent home a little early with a temp. The 1/2 hr I was at the school to pick up the three kids proved too much for Brayden. He over heated and has been puking.  Yesterday Kaitlyn came home with a headache. I'm going to send her with a water bottle tomorrow. I'm not liking this no ac in the elementary school thing! I'm from the south, so there was never this kind of problem.  At least Emmy's class has an ac unit for a special child, so glad! 

• Emmy lost her first tooth at school today!! She was so excited! So was her teacher, way cute. Now the tooth fairy just had to remember to show up tonight!

• Luckily  Brayden is finally starting to feel better!!  He's watching the Cowboys with Daddy! So cute!

1st day of school!!

Today was the first day of school!  Brayden and I got to take Kaitlyn and Emily to school.  We dropped Kaitlyn off at her class and then went to Emmy's Kindergarten orientation.  On the way in we ran into Leah and her family so we all got to sit together!

After orientation, I went home and got Logan ready for his first day of school!!  I can't believe he's so big!  He was SOOO excited for his first day of school.

Logan was worried I wouldn't take the picture fast enough! He was so exited to go. I had to stop him and give him one last kiss before he got on the bus. He didn't look back at all  I'm happy for him though!

I think the first day of school was a little tiring, he passed out on the floor in his room after school!

Shopping!!

So I had some Old Navy cash, and I was going shopping and invited Amanda to come with me tonight.  It was SO MUCH FUN!!!!  I haven't shopped for me in a long time, plus it was with NO kids!, and I had a friend with me.  Much needed and so much fun. After I got home I added up how much it would have been if I'd bought everything full price, OVER $115!!  AND I only paid $11.70!!!  I love good deals!!!

ALSO

I'm so nervous for the first day of school tomorrow, it's ridiculous! At least I've got a new outfit to wear :) When did my babies get so big!?
