Kaitlyn's first haircut

First some randomness.
Kaitlyn loves to climb into Logan's bed and play with him when he wakes up.

The kids really are enjoying playing with Legos right now. Emily can even put them together and take them apart. Logan likes to chew on the BIG ones (ONLY!!) that mom lets him play with.

And on to THE haircut! I had been trying to decide if I should get it cut or not. The deciding factor was the screaming matches (me and Kaitlyn both) when it was time to brush her hair. So even though I loved her long hair and didn't want to get rid of her baby curls, it was time. We all went to the hair salon. It was a fun adventure. Kaitlyn did really well. She looks so cute (and a little older!) with her short hair. I was so proud of how well she sat. Here's some pics of the fun.

That was on a Saturday and on Sunday she gave her first talk in Primary! She is such a big girl, I can't believe it.

Valentines Outfits

So I was so excited to post about our weekend I forgot the Valentines day pictures. I did Kaitlyn's hair in a heart and she loved it. The kids also wore Valentines clothes. Here they are. I love the sad faces. So cute.

I made cake balls for Valentines for the kids to give to their teachers. They are REALLY good! I got the recipe off a blog, sorry I can't remember which one! If I could you'd see how cute they are too, but mine weren't. You make a cake, crumble it, mix a container of icing in it, make little balls, freeze it for 20 mins, then dip in chocolate. DELICIOUS!!! It was all I could do not to eat them myself! It was a good thing I was planning on crumbling it anyway, because Kaitlyn got a hold of it.

Happy Valentines Day!!

What? It's not Valentines? My kids are still talking about it. Does that count?

So I just uploaded my pictures so I have no more excuses to procrastinate. We had a WONDERFUL Valentines Day! Our stake was having a Valentines Dance for ADULTS!!! AND they were providing FREE babysitting!!!! I can NOT add enough exclamation points for how excited I was about this. We decided to turn this into a whole weekend fun family event. And it was a BLAST!! Ryan booked us a hotel in Madison (where our stake center is) that was SUPER cool. There was a great swimming area. I told the girls and they were very excited about the swimming and the hotel. Kaitlyn LOVES hotels. Loves them. She often asks if we can go to one, and can even point them out when we are driving. I'm not sure how she does this, she is always right, but she doesn't know how to read yet.
So the plan. Drive up to Madison in the am Saturday. Go to the Children's museum. Check into hotel. Go swimming. Go to dinner. Go to DANCE!!! And then attend a ward in Madison on Sunday and drive home.
We had a BLAST!! Did I mention that already?

Other fun stuff

Next was swimming. The kids were SOO cute. This was the first time since last year. Kaitlyn was ready to play right away, Em took about 45 minutes before she unglued herself from mine and Ryan's side, and Logan was terrified the entire time. There was falling water and it was just loud in general in there (but not from people, there were not very many other people there!) and the noise was too much for him. He just snuggled as close as he could to me and stayed there. It was really cute. I really enjoyed holding him.
There were 3 separate pools, and we have 3 children and only 2 of us, so I was worried about how that would go. The kids were great and all of us really had a great time. Kaitlyn would get a little adventuresome every once in a while, but nothing too scary. After a little while Em warmed up and started enjoying it too. Mostly I stayed in the hot tub with Log and Em. It was really nice in there. Once I even relinquished Logan and went down the slide with Em. Boy I really shot out the end and almost dropped Em, but it was only like a foot of water. By the end Emily was really comfortable and stepped off the last step, but luckily we were close by to scoop her up. After that she was back to staying near mom and dad. I didn't pull her out of the water and leave though. I wanted her to see that the water is still fun, you just have to be careful.
Next was dinner, some yummy Mexican, and then off to the dance!
We dropped the children off in the different age groups and then listened to a short fireside and went and danced! It was WONDERFUL! We had already had such a great day and then to have the opportunity to DANCE with my husband was great. It was so fun. The last time I went to a dance was a singles dance. It was so great to not care. The only one I knew was Ryan and a couple from our branch, so I just let loose. Ryan and I danced a lot and just goofed around and laughed. Once the babysitting was over we went and picked the kids up. We let them come into the gym (where the dance was continuing) and dance and snack on the food for a little bit. It was fun to dance with the girls a little bit too. Except they thought mom was crazy and there were WAY too many people to dance. lol.
It was a great experience. Seriously the best Valentines Day EVER! I'm really glad we went.

In December, I believe on New Years Eve day, my family got our pictures taken. Marissa took our pictures and did a WONDERFUL job! Marissa is just starting her photography and practiced on us. I love all the pictures. I just got the cd from my mom in the mail. Here's a few of them.

Just me and my little family

All the Wilson grandkids

Logan

Jess and Em

Wilson girls

Wilson boys

These two just make me smile! I love the "tough" guy smile, adn Kurtis just smiling away. So cute and then the real smile's in the next picture. This seriously makes me smile every time.

All the Wilson's -minus my brother Andrew who is serving a mission for our church in North Carolina.

Original Wilson’s

So it was pretty nice outside when we did this shoot, but a little chilly. By the end everyone was cold though. Poor Emily was FREEZING the whole time. She REFUSED to smile in the pictures and would only go with Kurtis. But actually it was BY FAR the best family photo session we've had. I was really impressed with Marissa and her husband. The picture of the grandkids sitting on the grass was HILAROIUS. EVERYONE was standing behind Marissa waving their arms, making funny faces and stuff. I think my dad got a little of it on camera. I had a good time and Ryan tolerated it. He HATES family pictures, but puts up with it cause I make him. lol. Hope you enjoyed my family.

Oh here's the names of everyone.
Mom (Tina), and Dad (Dan)
Me (Christi-hope you knew that one!) with Ryan, Kaitlyn, Emily, and Logan
Julia and her husband Cody and baby Cooper and puppy Holy
Andrew- not pictured, he's serving a mission for our church

Randomness from January and begining of Feb.

The other day we were watching Tarzan and the girls loved the scene where the gorilla's make music. So we pulled out the pots and pans and I let them go at it. It was fun, but I definitely needed a Tylenol afterward!

We got to go to the River museum in Dubuque with our friends. We had such a good time, I'm so glad we went. We had 5 kids between the 2 of us, so it was a little crazy sometimes, but it was fun. I took lots of pictures of our cute kids. They just love each other. So cute!
The 4 mobile one's checking out an alligator!

My friend Coreina and her daughter Mya

Steering the boat

Kaitlyn loved that she could see herself forever!

We went to a family fun night here, sponsered by Family Connections a really cool organization that we go to. It was pizza and a drive in. They provided pizza and we got to make our own car with huge cardboard boxes. This is our 2nd year doing it and we had a great time. We turned our "car" into a princess tower.

While the girls were hard at work decorating, Logan was hard at work trying to steal Dad's pizza! He LOVES food!

And here's him having a chocolate covered sugar cookie.

Ryan and I thought we'd have a fun family outing and take the girls sledding. It was fun, kinda. It was a good thought, just didn't turn out the way we planned. I guess that's the norm with 3 little ones.
Em flat out REFUSED to go down the hill. In fact she wouldn't even walk over and sit with me at the top by the fence. Ryan had to carry her. So Logan, Em, and I sat and watched Ryan go down a couple of times. Then Kaitlyn was ready to go. She liked it, but it was a one time only thing. I think we spent more time getting them ready than actually out there playing. lol. Maybe next year.

So we finally got our mattress for our bed! Yay. I don't know how I slept on anything else before. It's like sleeping on clouds. I REALLY REALLY like my new bed! So I put Logan down for a nap on there and had to take a picture when he woke up. A TINY baby on a HUGE bed. I just think it's really funny looking.

And last but not least. Kaitlyn got into Logan's crib again. I liked her choice of toys for Logan. Poor Ryan can't win this battle. His boy is just SURROUNDED by girly things.
