Daltons!

Ryan's parents came and spent a week and a half with us. It is always so WONDERFUL to have family here! Mom helped out tons with the kids and cleaning and Dad finished up lots of projects around the house. One of these days they'll come up and we'll let them relax instead of putting them to work! Haha. Unfortunately I only got ONE picture of Dad and none of mom. Bummer. But here's a proud Grandpa with his grandson:

We know how to wear out our guests!

While Grandma and Grandpa D were here Kaitlyn got to go to school and meet her teacher and check out the bus she'd be riding to school. She was very excited and so was I! Kaitlyn got to go with Ryan and I and baby Evan. Here she is in front of the school.

Mommy and baby Evan

The girls like to play nap time, but not nap. They like to set up little beds on the stairs, behind couches, in baskets and pretend to sleep. This is one they set up in their beds and said Mommy take my picture!

The girls LOVE to hold Evan!

Supper cute Evan

Evan's first bath

Evan had his first bath at home. This was of coarse a family affair :) Kaitlyn, Emily, and Logan wanted to help SOOO badly! At the end of the bath they had all climbed into the tub that Evan's baby tub was sitting in, just so they could be closer to him and see what was going on! So funny.

He actually did pretty well. Only a little bit of crying. He actually really enjoys bath time now.

Here are some more random pictures from the week in between parents visits.

The girls got up here and posed and said "Mom take a picture!"

And similar thing here, but with all 3. They are so cute!

My Mom left on a Tuesday morning and the following Tuesday Ryan's parents flew in. That was a loong day! Their flight didn't come in until way late and Ryan had a continuing education in Milwaukee. So Ryan left early in the morning and wasn't back until around 8. Which is after the kids go to bed. He was home for a little while to hlep out with Evan who was still up and fussy. Oh and Evan was still only 2 weeks old! The day actually went pretty well. Except for the first like 1/2 hour I was up! So I woke up to Evan crying to be fed. I thought I'd go check on the other kids and then feed him. Just before I got to Logan I heard something drop and break. This is what I found:

That's a carton of eggs. That he dropped on the floor. Most of them broke. So while I'm cleaning up that huge gross mess, Evan is screaming to be feed so Kaitlyn goes and gets him up and is carrying him around. And Logan is running around getting egg all over. It was fun. Lots. Luckily Evan was safe, Kaitlyn didn't drop him and I was able to get him feed and the mess cleaned up. I was worried the whole day was going to be that way, but luckily it wasn't!

Ryan got home from picking up his parents around midnight and then they stayed and helped us out for 10 days! So nice!

A long week!

My mom left to go back home Tuesday morning a week after Evan was born. Something about having her own family to take care of :). We definitely missed having her here! I had one week until Ryan's mom was going to be up here. That first morning was a rough one! I don't even remember what happened (it's been blocked from my memory! :)) but I was thinking, I'm not going to make it! Hahaha. After nap I had one of my friends send over her 10 yr old daughter. Bless her that's the only way we made it through that day! It actually got better after that, but I was definitely glad when Mom D got here!

My attempt at a photo shot with Evan

The girls love to hold him!

The week Evan was born we had a construction guy working in our house. Lovely. He was supposed to be there the week before... I am very happy with the finished product though!

Comming home and Logan turns 2!

WOW!! All I can say is it was a HUGE blessing to have my mom with us! Thursday the 5th the kids came and visited in the morning. They were doing well, except Em was not feeling well. Mostly I thought she was just adjusting to having a new baby brother and needed a nap. So after they went home for lunch and a nap. We came home from the hospital just before the kids started waking up. Well within an hour of us getting home from the hospital, Em had thrown up and both her and Kaitlyn were obviously sick! So we got a doctor appointment and Ryan ran them there. Both had strep throat! Em's got the shot and Kaitlyn got an antibiotic. It was a CRAZY afternoon! Between the 3 adults in the house, we were barely able to get everything taken care of! I'm sooooo glad my mom was here to help us! Luckily by Friday evening the kids were feeling better. We still didn't let them out though.

Saturday the kids had a birthday party!! I went with my mom to show her were the house was so we could drop them off. Well Em's didn't want to go. I think she was sad to leave mommy. So Grammy and Emmy dropped me off at home and went back. She did much better and all 3 kids had a blast! While they were at the party Ryan and I took Evan back to the hospital. He had to get his billi levels rechecked and weigh him. We took him in and his levels were high and his weight had dropped from 8 10 at birth down to 7 12. So they said we had to bring him back in Sunday morning to see if his billi levels had gone down. I was pretty much a wreck over it. Nursing my other children had always gone really well and right from the start things were not going well with Evan. So Sunday morning we took Evan back in. His billi was dropping but still high so he needed more sunlight and extra feedings. He did manage to escape the lights though.

Sunday August 8th (5 days after Evan was born) Logan turned 2!!! My little baby is no longer a baby :( He's officially a toddler now. Sunday morning he got to open presents from Grammy!

And Sunday evening I invited a couple families over to celebrate. We had cake and the guests had about an hour warning and they still came! Last year when Logan turned 1 we had a huge party but I forgot to take any pictures!! So I got lots of pictures of him this time!

Blowing out the candles. I love LOVE love his expressive face! Too cute!

Eating that yummy cake!

Happy 2nd birthday my precious Logan!! I love you!
