April!

So I started watching a two year old, 3 times a week. It's a lot of fun. She's a cute sweet girl. Occasionally it is difficult to have two two year olds, but most of the time it's just fine. When it come to nap time I have tried a few different sleeping arrangements. I think Logan and Adelyn's favorite is Ade sleeping in Evan's crib and Logan in his toddler bed. It's their favorite cause then they get to play and wake each other up from their naps. So not MY favorite. Haha. One day I put Em in the spare room, Adelyn in the boys room, and Logan in the girls room. It went great until half way thorough nap time I hear a loud thunk, a couple moans and then Logan climbing down the stairs. He came down, walked to this chair and went back to sleep:

Too cute! I think he was still VERY tired and didn't trust his sister's bed anymore!
And the next day when I asked if he wanted to sleep in the girls room he said no and started crying. Poor baby. We've figured out a way to let him nap in his own bed now.

So I made a pizza. Would have been yummy, but the bottom got burned. Well I put Evan in his Bumbo (love that thing!) on the counter so I could do some dishes. I had put the pizza on top of the stove to deal with after the dishes. Well Evan had his own plan.

Crazy boy! I think the pizza is bigger than he is. How I love this boy!

Cool like that

We like to tease Ryan's brother Shawn. One of the things we tease him about is his Facebook profile pictures. SO one night Ryan took a Shawn photo and e-mailed it to his family. We all got a good kick out of it. Katrina (Ryan's sister) had the great idea of EVERYONE doing a Shawn picture to give to him when he left for his mission. I think they turned out great!

Evan's Circle

This is from a month or so ago. I love his little circle.

I miss his circle. He's discovered he can scoot on his butt. He's actually pretty good at it and can get pretty far. We'll have to get a video of that some day. Too funny. He's not crawling yet and I'm just fine with that!

TOFW

At the beginning of April I went to Time Out For Women. It was WONDERFUL. I got to get out, with out kids!, for all day Friday and Saturday. It was a much needed vacation and time to recharge spiritually and physically. I have to say that I do feel like I've been able to be a better mom because I took some time out for me. Case in point, I took the boys to Dubuque to go shopping with me. I was pretty excited because it was just me and the boys. This was the FIRST time this has happened!! Sad I know, but if I get out with only a few, it's usually the girls. Anyways, I was at Target (by the way I was SUPPER excited to get a chance to go, it'd been FOREVER, there's not one close by!) and Logan started acting up. This was the Monday right after I got back. It was so interesting because I was laughing to myself at how funny he was, all the while knowing that normally I would be sooo frustrated. I thought, I wonder is this how grandparents feel? I'll see my kids being naughty with their grandparents and they don't get so frustrated. It was really interesting. I did end up having to leave, sigh, Log's just couldn't pull it together, but I wasn't worked up about it. It was nice. Coarse the next day I was in Piggly Wiggly and Evan was screaming his head off and I didn't handle that as well. There's just something about a baby cry that I can't handle. Probably the nonstop-ness of it.

So I had a WONDERFUL weekend, but that left poor, sweet Ryan home alone all weekend with the crazies. It actually went really well, but they were all VERY happy to have Mommy come home! Ryan took the kids to the park and got a cute video.

And of coarse a McDonald's trip. :) I'm pretty proud of Ryan. I didn't preplan/cook any meals. He did it all, all by himself. I'm very blessed to have him!

First french fries:

more from that weekend

Kaitlyn's view

Kaitlyn loves to see her pictures on our blog. Here are some more she took.

And once she accidently took a video instead. Haha. Sounds like Emily's not always a willing participant! Poor girl.

Brothers and Sisters

Is that a name of a tv show? Hum, well anyways. We have the perfect number/order of our kids so far. Two boys and two girls. It's fun to see them do things together and to bond with one another.

When Evan was a newborn Logan mostly ignored him. He wasn't mean about it, just the baby wasn't all that interesting to him. It actually was nice for me, a big change from how Kaitlyn and Emily were at that age with a new baby! But now that Evan is starting to do more, Logan has decided the baby's actually pretty cool. It's fun to see them bond and start playing together. This is back in Feb? maybe when Logan was first becoming more interested in Evan.

How I love my boys!!

So one night Kaitlyn was showing me her pictures she took and decided to take some more. Kaitlyn, Emily and I played around taking pictures, and the more I took the sillier the girls got. It's so fun when they giggle together!

We love this contagious laugh!
