Nearly 10 months later

At the beginning of the year I posted about the flood we had here

I haven't done much of an update since then. Mostly I didn't feel like there was an actual after picture to show until just recently. We still have MANY many unfinished projects from the flood. And most days I feel like we always will. Some days I'm more optimistic and think we'll be done eventually. Hahaha. Anyway. Ryan just finished putting the new floor into the living room. There are still lots of little things to be done, but it looks amazingly better now!

I had before pictures of all the rooms in the house before we moved in...however a certain beautiful girl of mine deleted them off the camera before they were downloaded. Oh well. Here are some pictures of the living room since the flood.

Right after when EVERYTHING was moved into here and the dinning room. -That was a headache!

This is in April, that was Em's birthday party (yes we have had many parties in our construction zone house, can't put life on hold!)

It's better here, but not much. We were still missing half the ceiling amongst other things :)

Now fast forward to the end of October. In 5 days it will be 10 months since the flood. TEN. We are not done yet. BUT we are MUCH closer and I have a living room. A nice one. With no flood ruined carpet or missing ceilings. Here's how the living room looks now.

Evan's Baby Blessing

Sunday September 5th Ryan blessed baby Evan. That same day another baby was blessed in our branch. Eve was born 2 weeks after Evan and is SOOOO cute! Ryan and Ben are both councilors in the branch presidency and Evan and Eve are both baby number 4. It was fun to see all the similarities! Elizabeth and I actually were due 1 day apart. She wasn't too happy with me that I went 2 weeks earlier! They are a great family it is fun to have our babies together. I got some really cute pictures with both of them.

Course when there's 2 babies on the ground the toddlers can't help but come and see! Haha, there were quite a few little kids wanting to pick both the babies up, so we had to hurry and take the pictures as fast as possible!

The mandatory family pictures :)

Blessings

One day in September when Ryan was home for lunch (I'm so lucky!!) I noticed that he was getting a hole in his suit. That night we discussed getting him a new one and were trying to figure out where the money would come from. The VERY NEXT DAY Ryan's boss pulled him in his office and offered for the firm to buy Ryan a new suit and new shoes! What a huge blessing!
And the reason Ryan's bosses want him looking supper sharp? He was preparing to go before the Wisconsin Supreme Court!!! This is such a big deal. Not everyone gets to do this and Ryan has only been practicing for 3 years. We are SOOO excited! So are his bosses! He is doing exceptionally well at work and I am so proud of him!

Here's Ryan in his new suit!

He's so handsome and I'm so lucky to have him. Love you babe!

E & E

I hear at least twice a week how much Evan looks like Emily. She of coarse LOVES this! Not only do they look alike and both start with an E, but they have many other similarities. Evan seems to be very calm and patient with his siblings, just like Em. And of coarse they have had issues with nursing. However I've been more successful with Evan than I was with Em. Anyway. Most of the pictures are of Kaitlyn holding Evan, because she is just obsessed with him! But every once in a while Kaitlyn will back off long enough to let Ems have a turn. (It's actually really sweet how much Kaitlyn wants to care for Evan) Here are a few pictures of the two.

School!!

Wednesday September 1st was Kaitlyn's first day of school!!! She rides the bus to school, but for the first day I got to take her! She's such a big girl and LOVES school. She goes Tuesday-Friday 12-3. Here's her first day of school pictures!

In front of the house (she didn't want to wear her backpack for the pictures!)

This is her locker at school!! My baby has a locker!

So I loaded up the kids and took Kaitlyn to school. We walked her to her class and helped her get settled in. Logan went right to a table and sat down and started playing! He was so sad when he was told we had to go! Kaitlyn was just a little nervous but mostly excited. I think if it had been just me I would have cried/bawled when I dropped her off. I got a little teary eyed when I gave her a hug and kiss goodbye. Then Logan started to cry cause he wanted to stay, so I didn't have time cry. We left and I thought about how much my baby girl had grown up! Ryan wasn't able to drop her off, so I let him pick her up from her first day of school. We were all so excited for Kaitlyn to come home! She had a blast and absolutely LOVES 4K!

So since I took her the 1st day, the 2nd day was just as exciting because it was the first time to ride the bus!! This was so fun! She couldn't wait to get on the bus! Logan tried to get on with her...hmmm I'm seeing a pattern! He wants to be just like his supper cool sister! Side note.. Thursdays we don't have to be anywhere so I usually don't make the kids get dressed. Hence naked Em.

Waiting for the bus

Getting on the bus (She just ran straight on, didn't even look back first! She did wave to us out the window though!)

Logan putting on Dad's old backpack in hopes he'd get to go too

We love having Kaitlyn in school. We miss her while she's gone though! Her teacher posts pictures up on a website of their time in school. I'll post those eventually :)
