End O'May

I started watching a little 2yr old girl at our house 3 times a week. The kids have tons of fun playing with her. Here they were playing house or sleepover at the bottom of the stairs and wanted me to take their pictures.

The kids were being cute here. This actually is an old closet that the doors got ruined in the flood, so I had Ryan turn it into a shoe nook/bench. I LOVE it!

Father and Son Camp Out!

May 20th was the annual Father's and Son's campout. Evan was still too small to go this year, but Logan got to go for the second year. He LOVES camping with Daddy! The campout almost got canceled because of rain. I am so glad they got to go though! They had a blast and it ended up not raining on them.

All packed up and ready to go:

And some pics Ryan took while they were there:

The girls, Evan, and I stayed home, watched a movie, and painted our nails.

Mother's Day!

Ryan and the kids were so sweet to me for Mother's Day. They made me breakfast in bed and came in singing to me (after they let me sleep in for a little while!). I usually don't get to have Ryan home with me Sunday mornings because Ryan has early church meetings. Well for Mother's day our branch cancels the early morning meetings. That is by far my favorite present every year! I love having Ryan home in the mornings and we got to drive to church together and everything. It was wonderful! My third present was I got matching vests for the boys! They look SO CUTE in them! So after church we had a very short photo shoot! Here are my cuties. (They weren't cooperative even though it WAS Mother's day :)

The Boys (I tried...)

After Logan ran off I got a few of Evan, they're not much better though. Haha

The cute girls, they were so cute and actually TRIED to do what mom asked. I love my girlies.

My kiddos...

Kaitlyn, Emily, Logan, Evan, and Me

What I really wanted was one of all of us, but Ryan was to busy afterwards. One of these days though, it WILL happen! :)

That night we got to go over to a friends house for desert and to hang out, two of my favorite things! All in all it was a great day.

~And I can't talk about Mother's Day with out mentioning MY Mom and Mother in law. I am so blessed to have these women in my life. I call my mom weekly and sometimes daily. I love her with all my heart and I could not be the woman I am with out her. I love you Mom! You seriously are the best. I would not change one thing about my child hood.
I was blessed to marry a wonderful man. He would not be the man he is with out his Mother. Marsha, I love you and thank you for being such a wonderful Mother to Ryan and taking me in and loving my like your own daughter as well. I'm so glad my children have such amazing women to look up to.

May!!

At the beginning of May there was a Teacher Appreciation Week. Since Kaitlyn is at school now, I made something for the teachers at her school.

What you need

~empty baby food jars (need to be glass and take the label off)
~cake mix
~frosting
~decorative paper
~glue
~icing decorating tube/gun (not necessary but VERY helpful!)

make the cake mix and pour batter into each jar filing 1/4 the way full. I used my icing decorating tube to fill the jars and it was SO much easier than trying to pour just a little in each jar!

Bake. Time depends on how full the jars are. I ended up with 30 jars, so I cooked it shorter than the cupcake recipe and then checked it tell it was done.

Set the cupcake jars aside and let cool. Make Frosting. You'll need two containers or to double your recipe. Once the jars are cool swirl the frosting on top. Again it's really helpful to have a icing gun for this step.

Next cut strips in your paper and glue them on. When I washed the baby food jars it was really hard to get the glue all the way off the outside of the jar. It ended up being fine cause it held on th new labels that much better.

Here's the final. If I had had more time I would have embellished the labels more.

The teachers seemed to enjoy them, and I had fun makeing them!

Here's my cute baby boys sleeping in random places.

Evan

Logan

Logan loves to push the girls around in the doll strollers we have. Well one of them the kids can sit in just fine, the other one...

Poor kid, we were laughing so hard.

Evan isn't crawling yet, but he butt scoots, which is the cutest thing ever! He has started scooting on his belly too. He doesn't like it as much cause he gets stuck to frequently!

April 4K

In April Kaitlyn's 4K class made USA hats

For Mother's Day the kids made us a cook book. It is SO cute. Kaitlyn was adorable with it! She couldn't wait for me to open it! As soon as she got home she had me open it and it wasn't even out of the wrapping before she said it's a cook book! Too cute! Here's the picture that was on the front. (They took the picture in April)

Friends Of Winskill (FOW) is the elementary's PTA, and they put on an assembly for the kids. Kaitlyn really enjoyed it.
