Logan

On Friday we went to the Grant County Fair. I love to go to these things, and Ryan tolerates them. Lol, luckily I have a great husband and he was willing to suffer the torture for my fair needs. Kaitlyn and Emily had a blast. When we got there we went strait to the animals, the girls FAVORITE part by far. This is the crew.

And I was hobbling along too. I forgot to bring a hat for Logan, but luckily I had a little something to put over his head. I didn’t want his first outing to involve a sunburn! He did great and Ryan commented that he didn’t know how I did the pregnancy thing. Thanks babe! I love it that he appreciates what I do.

The beautiful cows. They really are very pretty up close.

One of the ladies saw us admiring the cows, so she got one out to let us pet! I was so busy getting pictures that I didn’t get to pet one. Oh well.

The pictures pretty much say it all. Emily loved it and Kaitlyn was terrified. Poor girl, she loves animals, just not up close! Kaitlyn got to hear a cow moo for the first time. We enjoyed just sanding there watching and listening to the cows.

We also got to look at some birds and bunnies. I was so proud of myself for going in (I have a fear of birds). I even took a picture of one. This one’s “hair” reminds me of the girls in the morning.

On Saturday we drove up to Pike’s Peak. It’s in Iowa and has a BEAUTIFUL view of the Mississippi.

The girls couldn’t get close enough. I was impressed by how much they liked to look out and see everything. They especially liked to see all the boats. There were tons out because it was a BEAUTIFUL day. If we had a boat we would have been out too!

Ryan and Logan

After you go to the lookout there’s a little hike to some other view points. I thought this was so cute!

And our promised family picture!

Just kidding, here’s a better shot!

What a handsome deuo!

Logan's first bath at home. I mmade Ryan do it. Yes, even after 3 babies I'm still terrified to give a newborn a bath!

He loved the first part, but once it was time to wash he didn't like it anymore! Sounds just like my girls.

Logan's birth picture, he was 1 day old!

Hope that helps your I need to see Logan fix.

Fun

I got this supper cute laundry basket at Target in the DOLLAR section, yes just $1. I love it. If there was a Target closer I’d go back and get more. The girls are so good at putting their dirty clothes in the yellow duck, and when we first got it they had fun playing in it.

After I dressed Em one day we had a laugh at our ghetto Emmy. Poor girl, couldn’t keep her pants up and her belly’s hanging out. (Don’t worry we didn’t leave the house!)

Ryan is such a great dad, even though he has two girly girls. They always want to play with him, even when it’s girly stuff, and Ryan is great about it. Em LOVES to wear wings, and she finally convinced Daddy to play with her. So sweet.

Ryan spinning on the computer chair with Kaitlyn. She wanted her picture taken so here she is.

My family came up here for a week at the end of July. We had SOOO much fun with them. I didn’t get a SINGLE picture while they were here! Kaitlyn and Emily had so much fun with their Aunts (Jessica(9) and Tiara (6)) and Uncles (Jace (17) and Kurtis (14)) and Grandpa and Grammi. My family also went tubing down one of the rivers while they were here. They even got to go to our branch and about doubled the numbers! I wish my family (in-laws included) could come up here all the time. We love spending time with them.

The circus and more!

I thought I’d better get some of my old news posts up soon. I have a whole list of things I was supposed to blog about before Logan. Lol, oh well. So those of you looking for more baby Logan pics are going to be missing them just a little longer, but they are on the way!
Some of these are so old news, I almost didn’t want to share, but this is for my journaling. So Kaitlyn has taken to calling people honey. The first time, I was on the computer bloging and she wanted my attention, I didn’t respond to Mom so she said Honey. That definitely got my attention and made me giggle. Since it was so successful she’s kept it up. Not only does she occasionally call me honey, but Dad, and Em too. I found out that at school she does it to her teachers too. What a goof ball. I realized I say that a lot, so I know where she got it from!
A while ago we were REALLY interested in a house. We even put an offer down, but got out bid. We spent lots of time dreaming of how we’d fix up this house. So one Saturday we drove up to Menards (think home depot) to check out what they had and prices. We were down the sink aisle and Ryan and I were walking out, and turned to say Come on Kaitlyn, when one of the sink displays fell on top of her! Neither one of us got there in time to catch it. That was so scary to see. Poor Kaitlyn was just trying to open the cabinets, but it was just free standing. So it came down and landed on top of her and shattered just above her head. She was WAY freaked out. We thought everything was fine, minus the huge mess, but a few minutes later I saw blood on my arm where I’d held her. We were mostly concerned for her legs but upon closer examination found a cut on the back of her head. That really freaked me out. I thought there might be some porcelain stuck in her head. We took her to the hospital and everything turned out fine. Just a little cut. Heavenly Father sure protected her. I kept thinking of all those Parent’s articles about children dying from knocking furniture on themselves. Good news, this is one thing she doesn’t have a short attention span on. We had to go back to Menards a week later and Kaitlyn wouldn’t even get out of the basket. I think she was pretty scared of that store.
Just before my birthday I went and got my license renewed. That doesn’t really sound worth mentioning, but it’s my first time to not have a Texas license. I was so sad to give that up. So I am now an official Wisconsinite. Craziness.
And finally for some pictures! At the beginning of the summer the circus came to town! It was pretty cool. A great time was had by all. And the girls did really well not begging for all the million different things to buy.

The fun rides as you walk in

Mom and the girls waiting for the show to start

The Tigers (way cool!)

Lots of acrobats and the flying trapeze

The Elephant

Motorcycle ring (I think they got up to 6 in there, crazy!)

Pictures!

Mom and Logan just after birth

Mom, Dad, and Baby Logan just after birth

Not long after Logan was born Ryan rushed to Coreina’s to bring the girls to see their new baby brother. Em was already asleep for the night so Kaitlyn got to come by herself. She was a little tired and everyone was watching her, so she didn’t know what to think.

Baby Logan was prepared though, and had a gift for sister. After Kaitlyn opened her new princess shirt and baby doll from Logan she was much happier to see Logan.

And one more of Logan

The next morning Kaitlyn was very excited to come and see baby Logan and Emily was too. Em liked her baby and new shirt too. The girls have had lots of fun talking care of their new babies like momma.

Unfortunately no more pictures were taken. It was a little crazy in the hospital with 2 very curious little girls and only 1 daddy! Video was taken, maybe some day we’ll get that up here. The girls LOVE their new little brother and he tolerates them very well. Kaitlyn is a big helper, and Em loves to smush and love on him. I hope to get a family picture taken soon. Enjoy these pictures for now.
