Valentines Day

For Valentines Day this year I went all out. I'd have to say this is one of my favorite holidays. Ask my husband or my mom, my solution to almost any problem is love. Haha, so how could I not love a holiday all about love! Plus you gotta love the colors, pink, red, white, purple. We live those colors at this house.

So the weekend before Valentines day we got a package in the mail from Grandma full of fun Valentines Day candy and surprises. One of the things the girls and I got were aprons. The girls call them their baking suits and HAVE to wear them anytime we bake. Here we are trying them on.

It wasn't long before they convinced me we need to BAKE something in them. Haha. Logan was a little sad that Ryan said NO WAY to him wearing my apron. (He wanted one too) So Ryan let him wear one of his shirts and he was happy about that.

So when Monday came around it was BEAUTIFUL outside. It was the first nice day all year. So the kids and I walked to the gas station to get some candy bars to make a valentine for Daddy!

The kids had a blast helping me make it and especially walking to Daddy's office and delivering it to him!

We hurried home and then Mom got ready for a fancy Valentines Lunch for when Daddy came home for lunch!

We had scrambled eggs (dyed pink of coarse) baked inside crescent rolls (cut out in heart shapes) with Pink fruit smoothie. And the kids favorite part, I put sprinkles on top of the smoothies!

I *think* the kids liked it :)

For Dinner I surprised them with Valentines Day balloons (they LOVE balloons!)

and heart shaped homemade pizza on heart shaped plates.

Happy Valentines Day!! We LOVE you and hope your Valentines was wonderful as well!

Emily's 4k!

What, did I type that wrong? Nope, not Kaitlyn- EMILY got to go to 4k! Em's had her 4k screening and she was SOOO excited. She has been talking about going to 4k since well September when Kaitlyn got to go. So I knew when we got the letter in the mail she'd be stoked. And she was.
Her screening was February 17th. Daddy came home to watch the other kids so Emily and I could go. It was so fun to go with her. She did so well for all the tests: hearing, vision, speech, large and small motor development, cutting, coloring, following directions and such. I can't believe how big my little baby is getting! Of coarse I forgot to take pictures until it was time to leave. But here she is walking on the balance board and climbing the cube to jump off.

In February I decided I was tired of washing, drying, folding, and putting away the 6 outfits a day that Kaitlyn was wearing. SO in hopes that I could get her down to 2 or heaven forbid 1 outfit a day I decided she was now in charge of folding and putting away her own laundry.

She actually really liked it and did really well. For about a month. I have been doing it all again lately. This is a good reminder to me, next load she's folding again! Haha. Actually though I was really impressed with how well she did. I thought it would be a huge pain and I'd have to teach her a lot. I was pleasantly surprised at how well and quickly she picked it up. Now to keep it up! Haha.

Speaking of folding laundry...I sat down to fold and didn't get very far.

This is pretty typical and why I usually wait tell the kids are in bed for the night before I fold. :) I do have to say though that I love cuddling up with them!

Two of my favorite boys

Emily and Evan

Gumball is this little bear that came from 4k to live with us for a few days. We got to take him places and take pictures with him. We took him to our local Piggly Wiggly (grocery)

One night in the middle of the night I heard Evan so I got up and started upstairs to get him. Luckily I turned on a light first (I don't usually) otherwise I would have stepped on

LOGAN!! Apparently he came down stairs and FELL !ASLEEP! on the bottom step. Haha. I was laughing so hard. I just scooped him up and took him to his bed on my way to get Evan. What a funny boy!

Cabin Fever

We're stuck inside a lot durring the winters, so the kids come up with all sorts of different things to entertain themselves. I love their creativity.

They LOVED that I let them ride scooters (Christmas presents for the girls) and Logan's trike IN the house for a few weeks!

Poor Evan, they just love him so...

(I love Kaitlyn's hair like this! She will only let me do it occasionally though. I french braid her hair in a headband)

Daddy too

Logan did this a couple of times. He would start sitting on the chair sitting on his feet and then try to get down. Hahaha, too cute.

Jenga!

For Christmas Kaitlyn got the game Jenga, so a lot of January was spent like this:

I love Logan's faces in those! Kaitlyn actually is pretty good at that game!

Emily loves her Evan

Ryan had a birthday! He's 33 years young. I love that handsome man!

Evan rolls! And more

This was just after we got home from Texas, so January sometime. Evan rolled over for the first time! We had to get a video so Grandparents could see. Good thing we e-mailed it to them instead of waiting for me to post it on the blog!

And here's a photo of it

Ryan tried to get a picture of all 4 sitting and looking at him. These are the better of the attempts :) It's not easy to get all their attention at once!

Haha and those are the better ones! I love these 4. They make my days absolutely crazy, but i wouldn't have it any other way because they also are my greatest joys. I love my babies!

And some from December
