Me and my girlies!

On Saturday June 4th, my hair FINALLY got long enough to cut off 10 inches. I was so done with long hair and couldn't wait for it to get any longer. SO, I got a REALLY short (for me) hair cut. I treated myself and went with NO kids. It was so nice! I was pretty nervous when she started cutting, but I love the results! When I got home the girls loved it so much they begged me to cut their hair short too. I was nervous, but I had just watched the girl do my hair, so I knew what to do. I gave the girls a little longer version of my hair cut. It turned out really well! I was so proud of myself. Here's our hair curled the next day for church.

They have been trying to convince me to cut it shorter all summer, but I said no. I think they'll appreciate it once winter gets here!

At the beginning of June I got a Groupon for Old Navy. Pay $10 get a $20 gift card. Well, who can refuse that? I knew exactly what I wanted to get at Old Navy too. So June 6th I took all 4 kids down to Dubuque and we went SHOPPING!!! Mom and the girls had a BLAST! The boys tolerated the experience and I was lucky, they were very good! We went SWIM SUIT shopping for the girls. I let them try on pretty much EVERY swimsuit in the store. It was so much fun! Kaitlyn's took a while to pick out, and it wasn't the one I would have thought would look best on her, but once on, it was perfect. Emily knew what she wanted, but tried others on just for fun, and sure enough she got the one she wanted. It was so much fun, but I fear I have spoiled them for upcoming years...

Good thing I love to shop!

When we got home the girls had to show off their new suits. They set up this "photo shoot" themselves, and I happily obliged.

Our fun stairs

Some may think we're mean parents, but we just thought this was too funny. ~He got himself up there.

And his inspiration comes from these yahoo's who do it all the time. Poor boy just wants to be cool like his sisters.

Drummin

Ryan was a drummer in High school and college, and occasionally he will get his drum sticks out and play with the kids, they LOVE it! We have fun :) Too bad his drums are in Vegas! Maybe someday we'll get a set for the whole family to use! In the mean time we have a blast drumming on pretty much anything we can find!

The Butt Scoot

Boy oh boy do I love the but scoot. I will be sad when Evan learns to walk and gets rid of this. It's so darn cute. Here's a few videos of Evan's famous butt scoot.

Here the girls do a butt scoot race:

There was one more, but reader won't load it, sorry :)
