Golden Birthday

Cody had his Golden Birthday! Julia was so excited for him, especially since he let her throw a party for him! Haha. Our husbands are so alike in this. So there was a Golden Theme, plus a fried theme. They fried pretty much everything under the sun! I don't think any of us will be able to eat another fried food for a month! But it was good. My favorite was the fried cookie dough. Happy Birthday Cody! We love you!

And at the end of the night we got a Wilson Family picture! There is an extra in the pictures. She's Cody's niece. She's cute, so we'll take her :)

So here's the list of people in my family. In case you don't know. But I'm not pointing out whos who!

Grandma (Tina) and Grandpa (Dan)

Family pictures!

Last night I snuck out and went shopping by myself! I had a nice time. And I found some supper cute clothes for the kids! I couldn't wait, so when the kids got up this morning we got them all dressed in their new clothes and took some family pictures! These were taken with the timer on Ryan's phone, and the kids weren't supper excited about a photo session, but we did get a few good ones!

Christmas with the Daltons!

This year we have Christmas at Grandma Dalton's house. It was a little different because Christmas morning was a Sunday morning. That meant that The Peterson's couldn't come over in the morning. So we did the traditional Christmas Eve stuff and then opened ALL the presents from Grandma and Grandpa. The Christmas Eve night went really well. We watched the new online videos from the Church depicting the birth of the Savior, had a family home evening, sang songs, and opened presents! During the Family Home Evening the grand kids did a little talent show for us. It was so cute! I loved it. Colin played the clarinet and the other cousins sang with him. I wish I would have taken a picture or video!

Here's the video of my kids opening the gifts.

After the kids went to bed (it took a while! they were wound up) we got to work setting things up for Santa! When we went to bed there was a huge surprise waiting for the kids!

Christmas Morning!

Here's pics of the kids checking out their new presents!

Here's the video from the kids going to see what Santa brought.

After this we went to church. I LOVED listening to the beautiful Christmas music and singing along! The kids had a harder time sitting still... but at least Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Shawn were there to help coral the children.

After church we went to the Wilson's!! The Congers weren't there when we were. :( But we got to open presents with the rest of the Wilson's.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! We had a blast!

JuJu and Obama

A couple days ago we were in the car and Logan started chanting "Obama, Obama, Obama". Now I KNEW that couldn't be what he was ACTUALLY saying, he doesn't know who that is. It took me a minute, but I figured out he was chanting grandma! Haha. Well I got a good chuckle out of it. I thought that would be it. But all day today (we're on our way to Texas) Logan has been saying "Obama!! Obama!! We go Obama's house!!" Hahaha. That kids cracks me up!

We stoped just outside of Des moines for lunch. I was telling Logan he had to eat his lunch, when a women comes over and says yep you have to eat ur lunch or i'll let juju eat it. I'm thinking okay...
Then she procedes to unzip her coat (unzip her coat! What!?)
and show my kids the baby monkey hiding in there! I wasn't sure at first cause she was concealing it, so I said is that a baby monkey!? Yep. It was. In McDonald's. I'm not even kidding! How crazy is that! The kids jumped down from their stools and checked 'em out. I told them they could only look, but not touch though! It was so quick and random that Ryan didn't even see the monkey!
So of coarse when we got back in the car I called Mom to tell her. Tiara said "See mom, this is why we should got to McDonald's more! We could have seen a monkey!!" Which actually is a HUGE selling point for my mother, she LOVES monkeys! Hahaha. Crazy Day!
