So A LOT has happened since I last posted. The first weekend in May Ryan took me the girls and grandma Dalton to Lancaster Wisconsin to show us around. I hadn't been there yet, and he wanted me to see what it was like. He called the law firm (Day and Rhineke) he's going to be working for and told them we were coming up and we wanted to stop by the office so I could meet everyone. Well Craig Day offered to have us over for dinner and have his wife show us around town. They are so sweet. It's really nice because they are excited to have Ryan and are taking good care of us. So anyway we drove up on Saturday and just looked around. It is SO beautiful there. I do have to say that I was a little apprehensive at first, you pass a small town drive for 15 min with nothing and then there's another small town. I keept thinking this is so beautiful, but I'm moving to the middle of nowhere! What am I going to do? Then we got to Lancaster and while it is still small it is bigger than the other towns we were passing and it's 15 min. from a town that's a even a little bigger, so that was nice to see. On Sunday morning we went to the branch we will be attending. It is a SMALL branch, but they are SO excited that we are coming. It was nice to be so needed. I think we'll probably have lots of callings there and be very involved. The only hard part is the few families with kids are all from Dodgeville witch is probably an hour from where we are going to be living. And I think there are only 1 or 2 people from Lancaster. So we will pretty much be the only ones there. Oh well, it'll be hard but a good experience. Sunday night was the dinner at the Day's. Eric Rhyneke and one of his kids came too, so I got to meet both of Ryan's bosses. The dinner was so nice, I really like Mrs. Day. She was really nice. On Monday Mrs. Day gave us a tour of town. My favorite part was she took us to the elementary school and the principal gave us a tour. I REALLY like the school and the programs they have set up. That was one of the things I needed was a good school district. They will do a great job with my girls, and I loved how excited the principal was about his job and how much they do for the kids. I can't wait to have my girls go there. I think it will be a great place to grow up. On the tour we also saw this really pretty park with a pond that everyone fishes in, and she showed us a lot of houses. I love that the houses are nicely priced! It's exciting to think that haveing a house is not far away. Well nice and a little scary. I'm glad Ryan knows a lot about house buying, because I don't. Well anyway, the trip was nice. I'm glad Ryan took me up there, and I'm excited about it now. I even found out that Plattville the town 15 min. away has a walmart, so we won't have to drive to Debuke IA (45min away) everytime to go shopping.
The following weekend was Ryan's graduation, Emily's baby blessing, and mothers day. It's getting late so I'll post about that later.
