Kaitlyn says, look mom, I cut my hair pretty like yours! She was so proud of herself. All I could do for the longest time was sit there and stare. I was verry upset! I had to leave and call my mom (couldn't get a hold of Ryan!) before I broke down. Pretty much bawled the whole time I talked to mom. She made me feel better, thank goodness. Ryan was out riding his bike, so he couldn't hear me call. I called 14 times! And only left one message- that he'd better get his butt home soon! Poor guy, he thought the girls had driven the car through the house or something. So he FINALLY gets home and he's like, that's it? Not the right thing to say at the moment! Haha, poor guy. YES I realize it's just hair and it'll grow back, but all I could see was my sweet baby getting made fun of at school. There had already been a few things with one girl in particular, and I didn't want it to be worse for her. -Plus, I LOVED her hair! And she chopped it off! When Ryan got home I ran the girls to the hairdresser and they got new hair cuts (Kaitlyn also cut a chunk off of Em's hair). It looks cute, but I think it makes Kaitlyn look too old. She's only 3! I can't wait tell it grows out. I still get sad when I see a picture of her with her hair before!

And they were being so cute for the pictures we decided to get all 3! Aren't they adorable! And Logan walking!

I'm sure that was a heart breaking moment. I fear the day the girls learn what they can do with scissors! I did something similar in the sixth grade. Shocked my mom too! LOL! The new haircuts are just darling though.
Love the new cuts! They look adorable. And, just so you know, shorter hair on little girls is a whole lot easier to wash, comb and style - less time for moms! But as a mom, I totally understand how upsetting when they take the scissors and chomp/hack their hair, or someone else's hair. You handled it well. Thanks for the post.
oh man.... that would be such a surprise. I have to say though that her new hair style still looks cute on her. I hope she doesn't find the scissors again. My mom has a picture of me when i was little of me doing that to my bangs. I think a lot of kids go through that stage. Sorry you had to go through that!
oh christi!!! I would bawl too!! I think I would of delt with it in a much worse way then you did!! Oh man I just can't believe it!! Her hair cut is more grown up now too!! If it makes you feel any better my mom would always chop my hair off like a boy cut when I was little...on purpose!!! So now you can tell her she did it herself!!
Christi- It had to happen sometime! Mara's hair was ina pny and Tristan chopped it off!!! Her hair looks cute! Easier to care for too-- brush and go!
Courtney
her hair does look more mature! what a cute style for her! I would've gone ballistic if (I had girls) and they did that! you were pretty patient! thanks for the pics
Oh Christi! I honestly don't know what I would have done. But I guess since I have boys, it's not as big of a deal. But I can say I would probaly cry if I had a girl that cut her hair. Kaitlyn's hair does look cute though!
