Evan's first bath

Evan had his first bath at home. This was of coarse a family affair :) Kaitlyn, Emily, and Logan wanted to help SOOO badly! At the end of the bath they had all climbed into the tub that Evan's baby tub was sitting in, just so they could be closer to him and see what was going on! So funny.

He actually did pretty well. Only a little bit of crying. He actually really enjoys bath time now.

Here are some more random pictures from the week in between parents visits.

The girls got up here and posed and said "Mom take a picture!"

And similar thing here, but with all 3. They are so cute!

My Mom left on a Tuesday morning and the following Tuesday Ryan's parents flew in. That was a loong day! Their flight didn't come in until way late and Ryan had a continuing education in Milwaukee. So Ryan left early in the morning and wasn't back until around 8. Which is after the kids go to bed. He was home for a little while to hlep out with Evan who was still up and fussy. Oh and Evan was still only 2 weeks old! The day actually went pretty well. Except for the first like 1/2 hour I was up! So I woke up to Evan crying to be fed. I thought I'd go check on the other kids and then feed him. Just before I got to Logan I heard something drop and break. This is what I found:

That's a carton of eggs. That he dropped on the floor. Most of them broke. So while I'm cleaning up that huge gross mess, Evan is screaming to be feed so Kaitlyn goes and gets him up and is carrying him around. And Logan is running around getting egg all over. It was fun. Lots. Luckily Evan was safe, Kaitlyn didn't drop him and I was able to get him feed and the mess cleaned up. I was worried the whole day was going to be that way, but luckily it wasn't!

Ryan got home from picking up his parents around midnight and then they stayed and helped us out for 10 days! So nice!

Oh Kaitlyn is going to be a good helper!! I don't envy that egg mess...Egg is so hard to clean, paper towels don't suck it up all that well. Evan is a cutie!! So is Logan! :)

You are raising future parents and doing a good job of it. It's great that you don't shut them away from the baby care, even though it probably seems hectic at times.

Hint for future broken eggs: dustpan or large spatula. Scoop the eggs in with paper towels, then wipe up the last bits with a rag. Wash off the dustpan and voila! all clean!

May you never need this but with 5 kids....!

funny: the verification word is stiess--that's stressed spelled by the mother who is!

ohh, I want a baby..wait olny 4+ weeks andI will have one. I think you are doing awesome. Today I was sick so thekids watched tv all day (the non-school ones). I felt bad at first but then decided the important thing is they were with Mommy and no one got hurt :o) Just remember that when chasing after them!
