Every year our town has a town easter egg hunt with easter crafts, pictures with the Easter bunny, and lots of other fun stuff. This year we had to clean the church at the exact same time as the Lancaster Easter activities. Well I really didn't want the kiddos to miss the festivities so Ryan went up to Prairie and I took the kids by myself. Both of us took the job we'd rather do. :) I love team work. Anyway. I was so proud of myself, got all the kids there and waited in line to go see the Easter bunny. This year they did it in the local children's store. Which means your standing in line next to toys and clothes for 1/2 hour or so. The kids did pretty well at not destroying anything or begging to relentlessly for me to buy them something. Well we get to the front I get all the kids sitting with the Easter bunny AND looking my way (nearly impossible) and go to take a picture. Guess what the cards full. From Em's birthday, so it's not even like I can delete a few. Big huge sigh. Kicking myself we leave, go home (at least we live close by), and I run in and empty the card and run back. We go in and wait in a much shorter line and get to the front and the bunny leaves! So after all that, no picture! Oh well. Next we went across the street to check out the other activities. Logan's favorite was decorating the cookies. Kaitlyn and Emily loved the cake walk. Logan refused to do it until the girls won something, then he decided it might be worth it! After that we went upstairs to do some Easter crafts. Logan was NOT interested and therefore made life difficult for everyone else. I would have loved to sit down with the girls and color with them, but I was lucky to keep Logan coraled long enough for them to do a project or two.

Me trying to keep the boys distracted!

Next we head to the courthouse lawn for the Easter Egg hunt! Luckily we ran into some friends who were SO KIND and each took one of the girls. The hunt was in sections and I can't be in 3 places at once! Logan had a REALLY hard time waiting his turn to go get eggs. Here we are just before the hunt.

And once everything finished and I was trying to figure out how to get all the kids back together, Ryan showed up! Hallelujah!! I love him so much. I'm glad we get to do this parenting thing together! I couldn't do it all by myself.
Later that night we died eggs. Usually I do it the week before, but that was Em's birthday. So we hadn't done ANY Easter things until the day before. Oh well!

Easter morning!
Why are Mom and Dad acting so weird?

We took them into the living room to find what the Easter bunny left. Aparently they TOTALLY forgot about Easter baskets. They half heartedly looked around and only found eggs for quite awhile.

We finally just showed Logan where his was and they FINALLY realized what was going on! Haha.

And the candy eating began!!

And didn't stop tell it was mostly gone. Our kids LOVE hard boiled eggs. Every time I turned around they were either into the eggs or the candy. Haha.
