Emmy turns 5 on an airplane!!

Today is Emmy's birthday!  We picked the girls up from school a little early and drove to Chicago to catch our flight.  I have been sooo nervous about flying with all the kids!  So we drive our van to Chicago, parked in long term parking where we take a bus to the train that takes us to the airport!  The kids loved all the different modes of transportation! (Including escalators, elevators, and walking sidewalks!)
So of coarse when we got to the parking lot it was time for Brayden to eat, but we didn't have an extra hour for me to feed him.  So I put him in the wrap and nursed him on the go!  Crazyness.  He did really well.  The only hard part is we had a lot of luggage, so I was also pulling a rolling luggage behind me (while carrying a nursing newborn in a sling!)  that caused for a few painful moments here and there!  But otherwise it worked really well!  The kids were ANGELS!!  Seriously I'm so proud of them. I was terrified of taking 5, FIVE young children through airport security in CHICAGO!, but everyone was really nice and the kids were soo good. And we all made it safely on to the airplane and no one was lost or stolen!!  HALLELUJAH!!!  That was mostly what I was afraid of, that a kid would run off or get taken in that busy crazy place!

The kids were so good on the airplane!  We were crammed in there!  The plane had 6 seats on each row with an aisle in the middle.  So Ryan had Kaitlyn, Logan, Evan (lap child) on his row and I had Emmy and Brayden.  There was another nice lady sitting in our row too.  The flight attendant asked if she wanted to move, but she refused (darn!)  She was really nice though and watched a movie with Emmy :)  Also we were the very last row!  Right in front of the bathrooms.  It turned out to be a good thing cause I could let Emmy go potty without having to get up and wake Brayden.  Ryan was amazing and somehow got Evan to fall asleep in his lap.  I don't know how he does it!  And I nursed Brayden and kept Emmy and occasionally Logan (he was across the aisle from me) entertained.  We landed and Grandma and Grandpa D picked us up and took us to Grammy and Grandpa Wilson's house.  Poor Evan puked in the car!  I think he was just travel sick.  We were glad to plop the kids in beds and go to sleep!  Such a long day of travel, but it only took one day!!!

I LOVE TEXAS!!!!  So happy to be here!

I can't believe you were able to nurse Brayden in a wrap, while walking and pulling a suitcase! That is nuts! But so cool!
