So today we had a flight from Dubuque, IA to Chicago, IL switch plans and then a flight from Chicago to Salt Lake City. Quite a day of flights planned with 5 kiddos, but much better than having to drive to Chicago first. (Dubuque doesn't fly to Salt Lake, or Dallas for that matter) Well that was the plan at least.
We got to Dubuque at 5 in the morning and just as Ryan went to park the van, the power steering went out. Yeah that was awesome. Luckily we got the van parked. And then we just left it, cause we had a flight to catch! The flight from Dubuque to Chicago went really well. And it was supper short, so that always helps :) Then we landed in Chicago and walked to our plane. While we were waiting to board I took some pics of the kids (In case something happened! It's scary to be in charge of so many littles is such a BUSY place!)

Then we boarded the plane. Got everyone settled, buckled and ready for take off...and the pilot gets on the intercom... Yeah, just FYI if you hear form the pilot, it's gonna be a long wait, no matter what they say. So there's a minor something or other with the nose of the plane we can leave our things on the plane, we'll be getting right back on shortly. Ha!

And then they announce, oh um never mind, this isn't going to work, so we found you another plane! So Ryan keeps the kids while I duck back on the plane to get our stuff, and we head downstairs to wait for a new plane. It'll just be a short wait, no worries. NOT! If they would have been upfront that we were going to be waiting a long while, that would have REALLY helped! We could have sat everyone down plugged in the DVD player and called it good.
Luckily there was an angel who played with my children and helped with the long cramped wait. Seriously, sweet newly married woman from Arizona, I love you! Thank you for your help!
While we wait a woman gets a phone call and starts yelling into the phone and getting really worked up. Lets lots of colorful language go. Nice, lady. Got small children here!
Finally we board the plane. YAY! Get buckled in. Even back the plane up a little and the stewardess's do their spill... Then we PULL BACK INTO THE HANGER!!! Not even kidding. I wanted to cry. After much wait and confusion we see security enter the plane and the same woman who was cursing before stands up and is escorted off the plane!
While we waited (again) for the plane's gas tank to be refilled (can't leave with out a FULL tank) and paperwork to be filled out, we found out that that lady had been using her colorful language and anger on the flight attendents. Nice. I'm glad they kicked her off, but boy was it a LONG day! And Evan who had been napping what would have been the whole flight from Chicago to SLC was WIDE awake and quite cranky for the flight. Everyone was so nice though, especially the stewardesses.
Oh and Brayden had a blow out, that's why he's not wearing anything but a diaper. Here's some cute pics I took while we were flying.

Ryan's parents met us at the airport to help us get the kids and stuff to the car rental place. It was so nice to see them!! And I felt terrible because Mom missed surprising HER mom, to come and help us out. I have the best in-laws. Seriously, they are awesome and I love them tons!
We were starving so we stopped at a McD's on the way to Great Grandma's (GG's) to get some lunch. (yep this all happened before we ate lunch! It was a LONG morning!)
Evan took another nap while we waited. You can rent carseats when you rent a car! It was SO nice to not have to worry about car seats along with everything else!
And then we went and PARTYED it up with all the Fox's!!!
